Description Jon Dufresne 2008-07-12 10:39:26 EDT
GNOME has a partial translation to Esperanto. I would very much like to use this
partial translation. The Fedora login gives many many language options but
Esperanto is not one of them.
Comment 1 Parag Nemade 2008-07-14 01:37:48 EDT
Yes. I found translations. But I can't find locale file for Esperanto.
It should be located at /usr/share/i18n/locale.
may be glibc issue not sure?
Comment 2 Jakub Jelinek 2008-07-14 02:41:39 EDT
Artificial languages aren't going to be added to glibc.
Comment 3 Jens Petersen 2008-07-14 03:00:47 EDT
Sigh - if other distros have it - why can't we have it in Fedora?
This is not Klingon or some Tolkien script...
Comment 4 Jens Petersen 2008-07-14 03:35:46 EDT
Seriously though maybe we should have a separate package for such fringe locale
that upstream won't accept.

Jon, btw the upstream bug mentions you can set "LANGUAGE=eo" to get this
even though the locale is not defined.
