Thanks!
Merged into 1.102-13.fc9. Thanks!
note its in the testing repository, so you'll need to update from there. Please give it a good karma update when you test it so that it gets pushed to stable. Thanks!
kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 9. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9
Thanks for your quick response. I just tested it on my QS21 and it works fine. kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9.ppc64 I gave it a good karma on Bodhi.
Per previous comment, moving to closed. Thank you Jochen and Red Hat for working on this issue.
Hello Neil, I am reopening this bugzilla because the package "kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9.ppc64" (see comment #4) is _not_ yet available from http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/9/ppc64.newkey/ .. ... when do you think that this updated package will be available ..? Thanks for your support.
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F9/FEDORA-2008-7476 Its been pushed. You'll have to query the infrastructure team as to why the new version hasn't appeared yet.
The updates are frozen to to the current package signing keys problem: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-announce/2008-September/msg00002.html
Hello Neil, thanks for the quick answer .. ... when checking https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F9/ I see the following: " FEDORA-2008-7518 kexec-tools-1.102pre-12.fc9 nhorman 2008-09-05 10:49:11 ... FEDORA-2008-7476 kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9 nhorman 2008-09-05 10:46:13 " which means to me that the _last_ check-in for kexec-tools was the 'pre-12' .. .. I think this check-in has overwritten the 'pre-13' .. ... what do you think ..? .. Maybe you have to check-in the 'pre-13' package again .. Thanks for your support.
please stop re-opening this bug. Its fixed, it needs to stay closed. I filed the -13 errata 21 days after I filed the -12 errata. I'm not sure where you got those dates above, but from here: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/search/kexec-tools I see FEDORA-2008-7518 kexec-tools-1.102pre-12.fc9 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-08-12 16:28:45 FEDORA-2008-2051 kexec-tools-1.102pre-5.fc8 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-02-28 18:54:47 FEDORA-2008-6364 kexec-tools-1.102pre-10.fc9 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-07-14 15:03:02 FEDORA-2008-2367 kexec-tools-1.102pre-6.fc8 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-03-10 20:20:25 FEDORA-2008-1933 kexec-tools-1.102pre-4.fc8 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-02-22 14:05:19 FEDORA-2008-2525 kexec-tools-1.102pre-7.fc8 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-03-14 14:02:18 FEDORA-2008-7476 kexec-tools-1.102pre-13.fc9 [bugfix] nhorman 2008-09-02 16:08:37 the -12 package was pushed on aug 12, while the -13 errata was pushed on sept. 2. If you need this package asap, then you'll need to query them. thank you.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 9 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 9. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '9'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 9's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 9 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
Fedora 9 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2009-07-10. Fedora 9 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
