Description IBM Bug Proxy 2008-09-30 15:26:47 UTC
With Fedora 10- Beta I got this error message when trying to activate the "Fedora - Rawhide -
Developmental packages for the next Fedora release".

System: Cell based System QS21 installation over FTP with VNC.

The error message is:
Unable to find a group file for Fedora - Rawhide - Developmental packages for the next Fedora
release. This will prevent manual selection of packages from the repository from working.

Does the repo you are enabling have a repodata/comps.xml file? Can you also attach /tmp/anaconda.log to this bug report?

Comment 3 IBM Bug Proxy 2008-10-02 08:32:34 UTC
By clicking on the checkbox "Fedora - Rawhide -
Developmental packages for the next Fedora release" anaconda tries to find the repository by connecting to mirrorservice.org

----
08:09:45 INFO : added repository Fedora - Rawhide - Developmental packages for the next Fedora release with with source URL http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/development/ppc/os/
----

Shouldn't be a problem in most cases, but it is a problem when sitting behind a firewall.

But the checkbox shouldn't be marked as selected in this case.

I'm OK with closing this bus as "NOTABUG".
