Description Baif 2008-10-06 07:12:17 UTC
Description of problem:
Desktop "died" after KDE started up. Looks like some autostart-ed apps (krunner?) made the desktop died.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 10 Beta x86_64 DVD

How reproducible:
Just login to desktop KDE

If the sound system doesn't work, whether the problem will come up?

1. Try updating imsettings from Rawhide (to at least imsettings-0.104.1-3.fc10). If that fixes it, this bug is a duplicate of bug 465244.
2. Try booting with the nomodeset parameter (edit the kernel command line and append nomodeset to it). If that fixes it, it is a duplicate of bug 464896.

If neither of this fixes it, then we'll keep this open as a separate bug.

Comment 2 Baif 2008-10-07 01:17:35 UTC
After imsettings-0.104.1-3.fc10 been setuped, problem solved.

this bug is a duplicate of bug 465244.

Sorry, I should search the bugzilla more carefully next time.
