Every time I log into Gnome, "/usr/bin/python -E /usr/bin/sealert -s" uses all available CPU power for several minutes, making logging in and starting up applications a slow process. I haven't seen any actual alerts coming out of this process for a long time. Can't this process do its work at 4am, or some other non-performance-critical time? Can it do its work incrementally instead of all at once?
This message is a reminder that Fedora 9 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 9.
