Created attachment 322128 [details] screenshot of file-roller error message, not opening debs Description of problem: i need to get files out of a *.deb. im using file-roller-2.24.1-1.fc10.x86_64 (rawhide latest as of 31 oct). it says it can't open them, however someone else i know running rawhide has the same version of file-roller and can open debs including the one i'm trying to open, and another person i know running F9 (file-roller-2.22.4-1.fc9.x86_64) can also open the same deb file fine. see attached screenshot of file-roller error message the *.deb in question is here: http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/ttf-beteckna/ttf-beteckna_0.3-1_all.deb very reproducible on my laptop.
Hi, Máirín, cannot reproduce with the Rawhide file-roller (file-roller-2.24.1-1.fc10.i386). I think it might be interesting to see whether there is something spewed into stderr or ~/.xsession-errors. And of course, if you need just to open that thing, then ar x ttf-beteckna_0.3-1_all.deb still works :)
