Description David Nielsen 2008-10-31 23:17:20 UTC
Description of problem:
The preferences for empathy has a setting to start up empathy with the session, only it doesn't work. Back in the old days when I was maintaining empathy we patched this at the request of the reviewer (Brian Pebble) by hardcoding the default - if this is still the case please consider changing the default back to follow upstream, if not this is geniune bug which should be punted to upstream I suspect.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
empathy-2.24.1-1.fc10.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install empathy
2. adjust setting

Actual results:
no empathy started with the session

Expected results:
emopathy default started with session

Additional info:
x86_64, da_DK.UTF-8

Upstream has stopped installing the autostart file for awhile now. And based on upstream discussions about it, there is no plans on doing it that way again, they feel it should hanlded by gnome-session. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506311#c10

Closing as WONTFIX
