Description of problem:
The headphones plug-in doesn't turn off the speakers

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
alsa-lib-1.0.18-6.rc3.fc10
pulseaudio-0.9.13-6.fc10

How reproducible:
plug-in the headphones
  
Actual results:
Notebook speakers continue to be on

Expected results:
Notebook speakers turn off

Additional info:
manually checking off the speakers from the volume manager does the expected result

You need to pass the appropriate model parameter to the sound module (probably snd-hda-intel) in order for ALSA to switch between speakers and headphone. See /usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-*/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt in the kernel-doc package. If none of the values for the model parameter work then please open a new bug against the kernel.
