Description John G. Myers 2008-11-26 20:13:48 EST
Description of problem:

/usr/sbin/pluginviewer is unable to load plugins, so it cannot view them.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

cyrus-sasl-2.1.22-4

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install cyrus-sasl, cyrus-sasl-lib, and cyrus-sasl-ldap rpms
2. Create the file /etc/sasl2/pluginviewer.conf with the following contents:

sasl_auxprop_plugin: ldapdb
ldapdb_uri: ldap://127.0.0.1/

3. Run /usr/sbin/pluginviewer -a

Actual results:

Installed auxprop mechanisms are:
sasldb
List of auxprop plugins follows
Plugin "sasldb" , API version: 4
        supports store: yes

Expected results:

Installed auxprop mechanisms are:
sasldb ldapdb
List of auxprop plugins follows
Plugin "sasldb" , API version: 4
        supports store: yes

Plugin "ldapdb" , API version: 4
        supports store: yes

Additional info:

The bug is that the rpm installs the build-static version of the pluginviewer binary, which defeats the purpose. It should instead install the build-shared version of the binary.
