Description of problem: When using a "slideshow" desktop background in gnome (e.g. Solar), it starts in the correct state, but does not change over time. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-desktop-2.24.1-5.fc10.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.Choose a "slideshow" background 2.Wait 3.Watch Actual results: Nothing changes over time. Expected results: Background image should change over time Additional info: When changing a property of desktop slideshow, for instance style, the desktop background image suddenly changes to the current look for the current time.
I noticed this yesterday, too.
This seems to be from my split of the "changed" signal into two signals. eel isn't listening for the new signal.
Just for your information (but I am pretty sure you are aware of this): This behavior is the same after upgrading gnome-desktop to 2.24.2-1.fc10.x86_64 (and still using eel2-2.24.1-3.fc10.x86_64, the same as before).
i should have a patch that fixes this issue shortly.
eel2-2.24.1-4.fc10 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 10. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/eel2-2.24.1-4.fc10
I tried the 64bit version from the given link and I can confirm that it works now.
eel2-2.24.1-4.fc10 has been pushed to the Fedora 10 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
