Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 475931
The post install and uninstall scripts require coreutils
Last modified: 2009-01-04 01:06:11 EST
Description of problem:
The spec file for fillets-ng doesn't require coreutils for the post install and post uninstall scripts. This can cause problems during fresh installs or when build live cds.
You can include the following in the spec file to fix this:
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
The error can be verified by examining the spec file. The symptoms can show up randomly based on install order.
Steps to Reproduce:
Related to this is that the idiom used by fillets-ng for gtk-update-icon-cache is incorrect. You want to use this program only if gtk2 is installed. The idiom recommend to me was:
touch --no-create /usr/share/icons/hicolor
if [ -x /usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache ]; then
/usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache --quiet /usr/share/icons/hicolor || :
I've made these two changes, thanks for the report.
Just confirming that I am no longer seeing the install problem in rawhide.
