Description of problem: Muting & unmuting the speakers on a MacBook Pro 4,1 seems disables external speakers and enables the internal ones. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-2.6.27.7-134.fc10.x86_64 alsa-lib-1.0.18-6.rc3.fc10.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in external speakers 2. Mute them 3. Unmute them Actual results: External speakers no longer work, internal ones are activated. Workaround is plug in the external speakers again. Expected results: External speakers are re-activated Additional info: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
Confirmed on rawhide (Fedora Test Day 2009-03-25 Live CD).
Is this using pulseaudio or without it?
It's a stock install, so with pulseaudio enabled.
