Description of problem: After a yum update to the latest FC10 packages I find myself unable to print anything. Cups was not updated and I reverted to my previous kernel with no change in symptoms. It's like Fedora is setting the job as complete rather than sending it to the printer and waiting for a result. How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open up system-config-printer 2. click on printer 3. print test page 4. Fedora reports job complete without sending to printer Actual results: No printing Expected results: Printing Additional info: Printing default test page Authentication pass: 1 Authentication: password callback set get_notifications 1 printer-state-changed Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed. {'notify-charset': u'utf-8', 'notify-natural-langugage': u'en-us', 'notify-printer-uri': u'ipp://mgob.hq.mcguyverofbeer.com:631/printers/Laser-Printer-1110', 'notify-sequence-number': 1, 'notify-subscribed-event': u'printer-state-changed', 'notify-subscription-id': 16, 'notify-text': u'Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed.', 'printer-is-accepting-jobs': True, 'printer-name': u'Laser-Printer-1110', 'printer-state': 4, 'printer-state-reasons': [u'none'], 'printer-up-time': 1229904264} 2 printer-state-changed Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed. {'notify-charset': u'utf-8', 'notify-natural-langugage': u'en-us', 'notify-printer-uri': u'ipp://mgob.hq.mcguyverofbeer.com:631/printers/Laser-Printer-1110', 'notify-sequence-number': 2, 'notify-subscribed-event': u'printer-state-changed', 'notify-subscription-id': 16, 'notify-text': u'Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed.', 'printer-is-accepting-jobs': True, 'printer-name': u'Laser-Printer-1110', 'printer-state': 4, 'printer-state-reasons': [u'none'], 'printer-up-time': 1229904264} 3 printer-state-changed Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed. {'notify-charset': u'utf-8', 'notify-natural-langugage': u'en-us', 'notify-printer-uri': u'ipp://mgob.hq.mcguyverofbeer.com:631/printers/Laser-Printer-1110', 'notify-sequence-number': 3, 'notify-subscribed-event': u'printer-state-changed', 'notify-subscription-id': 16, 'notify-text': u'Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed.', 'printer-is-accepting-jobs': True, 'printer-name': u'Laser-Printer-1110', 'printer-state': 4, 'printer-state-reasons': [u'none'], 'printer-up-time': 1229904264} 4 printer-state-changed Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed. {'notify-charset': u'utf-8', 'notify-natural-langugage': u'en-us', 'notify-printer-uri': u'ipp://mgob.hq.mcguyverofbeer.com:631/printers/Laser-Printer-1110', 'notify-sequence-number': 4, 'notify-subscribed-event': u'printer-state-changed', 'notify-subscription-id': 16, 'notify-text': u'Printer "Laser-Printer-1110" state changed.', 'printer-is-accepting-jobs': True, 'printer-name': u'Laser-Printer-1110', 'printer-state': 3, 'printer-state-reasons': [u'none'], 'printer-up-time': 1229904264} update It looks happy but nothing happens. Correction this appears to be a bug in the Dell 1100cn driver, I moved my printer to use the Samsung 1510 driver (compatible) and everything now works...
