Description David Dillow 2009-01-14 14:31:43 UTC
Created attachment 328994 [details]
Invite that Evolution recognizes

Description of problem:
When a meeting request is a multipart message containing a text/html section, the text/calendar section appears to be ignored, preventing integration with the Evolution calendar.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-2.24.2-3.fc10.x86_64

How reproducible:
Fully

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send bug attachments (test-msg-{,not-}working)to self (or send a meeting invite from Microsoft Entourage (works) and from some recent version of Outlook/Exchange (doesn't work, don't know exact version)
2. Open in Evolution (connected to Exchange via IMAP)
3.

Actual results:
The message "Test message (not working)" will show you the message body as HTML, without the ability to respond to the invite.

Expected results:
The message "Test message (working)" will allow you to accept/decline the meeting invite.

Invite that Evolution does not recognize

The only significant difference from the first attachment is that this one has an html/text part. If I manually remove that, the message is recognized as an meeting invitation.

Thanks for your bug report. I think I broke it during changes in the prefer-plain plugin. I guess, when you disable it, then it'll start to work as expected.

Comment 3 Milan Crha 2009-01-14 17:05:32 UTC
I was pointed to the upstream bug [1], where I uploaded a fix too. Feel free to disable prefer-plain plugin until new version of evolution will be released. The fix will be included in evolution 2.24.4.

Just to confirm for others that hit this issue, disabling the prefer-plain plugin (Edit->Plugins menu) will work around it.

Thanks!
