Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 48303
Japanese KDE menu is mojibake-ed
Last modified: 2007-03-26 23:46:53 EDT
Description of Problem:
Japanese KDE is mojibake-ed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose "KDE" as session and "Japanese" as language on login screen
All the KDE menu/icon,Japanese letters get scrembled.
All the KDE Japanese menu/icon can be displayed correctly.
Sato will do this.
This defect considered MUST-FIX for Fairfax gold-release.
This problem still occured. (kdebase-2.2-2)
I wonder why there aren't any settings of fonts in .kderc and .kde/**/*.
What should the settings be? I don't have the slightest clue about Japanese...
Does this work in 2.2-5 (modified kpersonalizer to handle charsets)?
Fonts are ugly but it works.
