Can we get Boost 1.38 in for Fedora 11?

Comment 1 Fabio Alessandro Locati 2009-04-22 16:51:36 UTC
any news? I still see 1.37

Comment 2 Petr Machata 2009-04-27 15:20:25 UTC
No, Fedora 11 will get boost 1.37. 1.38 was released at the beginning of February. By that time we were already rebased to 1.37 for 2 months, and Fedora got Alpha out. Boost is used quite a bit in the distribution, and rebasing it anywhere outside early broken rawhide stages is a no-go, there's basically no backwards compatibility policy.

Updated boost for F12 is here:
http://people.redhat.com/bkoz/boost/boost-1.39.0-0.3.fc11.src.rpm

Will try to put this in devel soon.

Am closing this as WONTFIX for F11, sorry.

Comment 4 Joel 2009-05-07 05:55:32 UTC
Ok. Of course FC12 will be far behind again also. 1.40 will be out long before FC12. Can't wait a bit and ping on the Boost-devel list to get an alpha-ish snapshot in?
