Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 486778
Update whois server of .biz (to match with IANA)
Last modified: 2009-02-27 05:09:19 EST
Description of problem:
According to IANA (http://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/biz.html), the current
authoritative whois server is "whois.biz", /etc/jwhois.conf contains something
else, please change.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Whois server is "whois.neulevel.biz".
Whois server needs to be "whois.biz", simply replace in /etc/jwhois.conf.
Please try to get this fix upstream - upstream is unluckily always very very
unresponsive to me.
It seems that both are working. But I didn't find any mention on "whois.neulevel.biz" at IANA or ".biz" registration page, so it'll be probably better to use "whois.biz" as you suggest.
"NeuLevel has changed their name and website location." (as per www.nic.biz),
thus I always suggest to use what is marked as official by IANA if possible...
