Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 488798
make ksh use 'alternatives'
Last modified: 2010-03-14 17:30:04 EDT
Description of problem:
PDKSH is new package for 5.4. It's going to use alternatives fot switching ksh (ksh93 and ksh88). This will allow customers to use both ksh shells and port ksh88 scripts to ksh93.
Release note added. If any revisions are required, please set the
"requires_release_notes" flag to "?" and edit the "Release Notes" field accordingly.
All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team.
The ksh package now includes 'alternatives' which allows ksh switching with PDKSH. This feature allows users to switch between the ksh-93 and ksh-88 shells and to port ksh-88 scripts to ksh-93.
