Xorg log when it fails

Description of problem:
X fails to start. the log file seems to say that it couldn't find the PCI graphics device (although it does list it) and falls back to framebuffer - which also fails.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.0-5.fc11.i586

How reproducible:
every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot
2. attempt to start X (manually or automatically in runlevel 5)
3.

Actual results:
no graphics mode

Expected results:
graphics mode

Additional info:

i've tried xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.0-7.fc11.i586 from koji but that's the same. i'm pretty certain it was working at xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.0-3.fc11.i586.

Comment 1 cje 2009-03-06 01:38:45 UTC
just to confirm, i've re-installed xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.0-3.fc11.i586 and it's working.

Comment 2 Adam Jackson 2009-03-06 18:02:49 UTC
