Description Arumugam 2009-03-10 16:25:48 EDT
Description of problem:
I have a green city board from Intel. When I try to boot Redhat Enterprise Linux 2.6.28.6 on this board, I get the following error,

/etc/rc5.d/S06cpuspeed: line 111: 7089 Segmentation Fault /sbin/modprobe
acpi-cpufreq 2 > /dev/NULL

After this error, the kernel stops booting up.

BIOS used is from Insyde SW.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Just boot the Redhat Linux on Green city eval board with BIOS from Insyde SW.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Additional info: Based on input from Jarod Wilson (jwilson@redhat.com), I removed "rhgb quiet" command and enabled kernel parameters "debug cpufreq.debug=7".

With this enabled, if i reboot the board, I see that the following message continuously rolling over,
