Image from build-in webcam is reversed (horizontally) on MacBook Pro 4,1
Last modified: 2009-03-26 08:13:33 EDT
Description of problem:
The image displayed from the webcam on a MacBook Pro 4,1 is reversed (horizontally). If I move towards the left, I move to my right on the screen.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cheese-2.26.0-1.fc11 (Not certain - I forgot to take down the exact version number from the Nouveau Test Day 2009-03-25 Live CD)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Cheese
Image is reversed (horizontally)
Image is displayed as normal
"If I move towards the left, I move to my right on the screen."
That is not being horizontal reversed (or mirrored) that is exactly as it should be, imagine your head sitting at the place of the webcam, and then you moving left, then to the viewer, you would seem to be moving right. This is a normal
thing with camera's. It is a camera, not a mirror.
In Dutch on television the presenter often says: "To my right you see ..., so that
is to the left for the viewers at home."
Oh, okay... In OS X it acts like a mirror, so I though that was the normal (this is my first computer with a webcam).
