Description of problem:

I think firefox should automatically register "xdg-open" as the handler for smb: protocol urls.  In the meantime, is there a system wide config file that this can be added to?

We think that actually the appropriate upstream bug is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397700 and we believe that it is more appropriate to let it be resolved upstream.

Red Hat will continue to track the issue in the centralized upstream bug tracker, and will review any bug fixes that become available for consideration in future updates.
