Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2009-04-08 01:27:51 UTC
We can't depend on people to build with updates enabled. So this is a good enough reason not to push 021 back to F10 (I'll leave it in -updates-testing to make it easier for people who want to use it there, but won't push it to -updates)

Comment 2 Alan Pevec 2009-04-08 09:28:54 UTC
ok, then to keep updates-testing consistent, please push fixed mkinitrd to updates-testing only :)

Comment 3 Jeremy Katz 2009-04-08 14:55:20 UTC
New mkinitrd pulls in other things and raises some interesting concerns for breaking boot in normal cases that would require a ton more testing.

So fine, I'll just unpush the livecd-tools from updates-testing.

Comment 4 Alan Pevec 2009-04-08 16:10:21 UTC
I didn't ask for a complete mkinitrd update, just a backport of two low-risk patches. BTW mkinitrd was updated already for F10 and the sky didn't fall :) https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/mkinitrd

In any case, for ovirt.org we'll provide patched RPM in our repo.
