my numlock key does not work in xorg

Only in xorg, does my numlock key do nothing. The light turns on and off, but it does nothing. Manually changing they keyboard mapping does not help.

Could we also output of xev while pressing NumLock, please?
We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information.

xev says nothing. I have no xorg.conf. Will attach log next week.

Could this be the same as bug 483427? There you'll find also a work-around.
As a workaround, Shift+Numlock works! How odd. An annoying bug though. Will mark as dupe.
