Description Leonardo 2009-04-16 13:12:16 UTC
Description of problem:
The default v4l2 parameters of the Labtec Webcam makes the image very dark. Changing the brightness don't change very much this and changing contrast don't make any difference.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libv4l-0.5.9-1.fc10

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open VLC (or another application) and start webcam capture
2. Open v4l2ucp
3. Change brightness and contrast values

Actual results:
The image continues very dark.

Expected results:
The image becomes brighter.

Additional info:
See bug 478915 to any additional information about the webcam.

Comment 1 Hans de Goede 2009-04-16 18:46:02 UTC
This is not a libv4l issue, but rather a driver issue. Please mail:
Jean-Francois Moine <moinejf> (who is the upstream gspca maintainer) about this, he is the one who can help you the best. Feel free to add me to the CC.

Closing this as being handled upstream, as there is not much we can do at the Fedora side here.
