Description of problem: Booting from the Preview DVD and installing with ks=floppy results in a dialog saying NetworkManager is configuring the interface ("Waiting for NetworkManager to configure eth0..."), despite the fact that the install is entirely local (DVD + floppy). Switching to a text console allows me to verify that eth0 is, indeed, up and configured. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): anaconda-11.5.0.47 (on the Preview DVD) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot to the DVD 2. Put a floppy with ks.cfg in the floppy drive (remember those?) 3. Add "ks=floppy" to the boot options Actual results: "Waiting for NetworkManager to configure eth0..." Expected results: Configure NICs only if they're needed. In this case, don't configure any. Additional info: Just *after* the NIC is configured is when anaconda figures out that the installation is local ("Local installation media detected"). It seems a little backwards, but the installation runs smoothly otherwise.
I doubled checked the ks.cfg. It had a network directive that I overlooked before. Withdrawing ....
