 We've cleaned up the error a bit (new yum in updates-testing), so you don't get a huge traceback. But it's still basically just going to print:

Error Value: rpmdb open failed

...which means something has got the rpmdb open, and won't let yum open it.
 The brute force fix is:

    rm /var/lib/rpm/__db*

...but is kind of horrible.
