Description of problem: When clicking on an RPM file download in Firefox, the default application the user is offered to open the file is the Archive Manager which isn't particularly useful. Would be far more sensible to have this set to PackageKit by default.
Cannot reproduce ... when I clicked on ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/wrosenauer:/GNOME:/Community/openSUSE_11.1/x86_64/ekiga-lang-3.0.2-1.2.x86_64.rpm an open opened suggesting as default Package Installer (that's gpk-install-local-file I guess).

You sure you were using an F-11 install, and not F-10?

Very very default F11 ... lost hard drive last week, so this is very clean reinstall.
