Description of problem:
The current version of Poppler included in Fedora 10 is broken for some PDFs. The text is not displayed properly, and only the background images are visible. A screenshot illustrating the issue has been attached to this bug.

On this forum thread - http://www.linuxformat.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=73356#73356 - it has been highlighted that this is a Poppler issue, which has been resolved in newer versions.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a PDF which is known to cause this bug (not all PDFs are susceptible to it)

The text will not display, but any images present will

The text should display along with the images in the PDF

Being that poppler-0.10.x is ABI-incompatible with the shipping 0.8.7 in F-10, upgrading isn't a viable option.
