Last modified: 2009-09-02 03:33:06 EDT
Description of problem:
When multiple versions of jre is installed, sosreport captures the versions of jre in installed packages, but from the installed packages which version of jre is being used is known only when alternatives --display java is run.
Recently in cases of Red Hat certificate system , where version of Jre plays an important role, it is not possible to know the actual version of jre being used when multiple versions of jre is installed so the need arises for us to capture the alternatives --display java to know which version of jre is actually being used by default.
