$ fillets

$ ll /usr/share/fillets-ng/font/
celkem 0
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 42 11. čen 00.31 font_console.ttf -> /usr/share/fonts/freefont/FreeSansBold.ttf
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 42 11. čen 00.31 font_menu.ttf -> /usr/share/fonts/freefont/FreeSansBold.ttf

... but the free fonts are in /usr/share/fonts/gnu-free/

fillets-ng-0.8.1-2.fc11.i586 - same problem
$ fillets
main.cpp:117: ERROR OpenFont; file='/usr/share/fillets-ng/font/font_subtitle.ttf'; TTF='Couldn't open /usr/share/fillets-ng/font/font_subtitle.ttf'

$ ls /usr/share/fonts/gnu-free/
FreeSansBoldOblique.ttf  FreeSansBold.ttf  FreeSansOblique.ttf  FreeSans.ttf
