Description Dan Kenigsberg 2009-06-14 16:11:24 EDT
Description of problem:
With Fedora 10 I needed to connect my laptop to an external monitor, restart X, and presto, video works. With Fedora 11, external monitor stays blank.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
$ uname -a
Linux csdan 2.6.29.4-167.fc11.i586 #1 SMP Wed May 27 17:14:37 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
$ lsmod |grep '^video'
video                  17324  1 i915

Please ask for any missing detail.

unfortunately, it's not automatic as it was on Fedora 10, but it's not a kernel bug: `xrandr --output VGA1 --auto` does the trick for me.
