Expected results:
Do not expect kernal faults especially when doing nothing at the machine and it just keeps on happening over and over (I've restart and rebooted and even enable root login on gnone display manager to see if it was a user versus root issue)

Additional info:
I don't know if it is relevant, but I hear no "start-up" theme when logging in. Before I upgraded to Fedora 11 on 14jun09, I was on f9 and I got the start-up theme.

I submitted this to fedora-list-bounces@redhat.com on 14jun09 but didn't get any takers offering info as of almost 48 hours, so submitted as a bug.
Comment 1 Paul 2009-06-21 23:43:42 EDT
As of yum update from this weekend (20jun09), the problem seems to have vanished. To verify, I converted another machine from f9 to f11 and got the kernal crash after installation but it vanished after a full "yum update".

Sound is good as user, a bit weird as root, but logining in as root was only to test this bug so I am not overly concerned.

You can close this bug as "fixed by whatever was added to yum update between 14jun09 and 20jun09" (would close it myself but figured you might want to first log the occurrence against whatever packages might be involved prior to 20jun09)

Thanks,
Paul
