Description Mads Kiilerich 2009-06-17 09:37:24 EDT
Description of problem:

# /usr/sbin/authconfig --update --nostart --useshadow --enablemd5
authconfig: Authentication module /lib/security/pam_fprintd.so is missing. Authentication process will not work correctly.
authconfig: Authentication module /lib/security/pam_pkcs11.so is missing. Authentication process will not work correctly.

If the messages are right that these modules are essential then there should be a package dependency. If the dependencies can't be added then the authconfig tool should work correctly without and not have any reason to warn.

There might be other problematic dependencies - I just noticed these two.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

authconfig-5.4.10-1.fc11.i586

Actually the authentication will work correctly, but of course pkcs11 tokens and fingerprints will not be supported.

I'll change the warning from will not to might not or remove it completely.
