Description Alexander Todorov 2009-06-23 06:37:06 EDT
Description of problem:

Error(s): Installing bitmap-1.0.3-5.fc11.x86_64
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.BoGQoK: line 1: touch: command not found/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.BoGQoK: line 2: /usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache: No such file or directory

This package is installed before coreutils which provides the touch command and before gtk2 which provides gtk-update-icon-cache. Adding gtk2 and coreutils to Requires: will fix this issue.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
bitmap-1.0.3-5.fc11.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. @everything

Additional info:
No component named bitmap in Bugzilla so filing against distribution.

These messages, though ugly, are harmless.
The commands are expected to fail (there is " || : " after each of them). They need not to be run if gtk2 icon cache has not been yet initialized.

Anyway, to prevent confusion, I modified the scriptlets to suppress the messages.
Committed and tagged as RHEL-6/bitmap-1.0.3-7
(Brew currently does not allow rebuild.)
Comment 4 Stepan Kasal 2009-12-15 14:13:04 EST
Package bitmap is no longer on the RHEL 6 package list.
