Description Ian Weller 2009-06-23 14:39:07 UTC
Description of problem:
When clicking the HTTP version of the IPP under "Network Printer" in "New Printer", selecting a queue from a server results in an ipp:// address.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
system-config-printer-1.1.7-4.fc11.x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time

Should result in an http:// URL.

Comment 1 Tim Waugh 2009-06-23 15:07:11 UTC
Do you mean 'https'? I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

Comment 2 Ian Weller 2009-06-23 15:33:13 UTC
Well if I'm going to want to use IPP over HTTP, it shouldn't be an ipp:// URL, right?

Comment 3 Tim Waugh 2009-06-23 16:03:50 UTC
IPP *is* HTTP, and I'm not seeing the option you are talking about:

Internet Printing Protocol (http)

I see these two:

Internet Printing Protocol (ipp)
Internet Printing Protocol (https)

Could you give a screenshot, or else explain in more detail what you mean?

Comment 4 Ian Weller 2009-06-23 16:12:23 UTC
OK, sorry, it is https. I didn't bother scrolling over :/

But should it be an https:// URL then? :)

Comment 5 Tim Waugh 2009-06-23 16:15:13 UTC
Yes.. and that's what I get here. Would you mind re-testing, just to double-check?

Comment 6 Ian Weller 2009-06-23 16:54:11 UTC
Interesting, typing in the print queue name manually brings up an https:// URL. But entering an address, clicking "Find Queue..." and selecting the appropriate queue creates an ipp:// URL.

Comment 7 Tim Waugh 2009-06-23 17:03:46 UTC
OK, got it.
