Okay, this has nothing to do with Gnome and everything to do with the name of the disc. The disc has been named with a '/' in the title, which screws up everything.

Can we make sure this gets fixed before RHEL6 is launched?
I've checked in a change to the compose scripts so that the name will be "RHEL_6.0" instead of "RHEL/6.0".
Please test with Alpha3.
Fix confirmed. The disc shows RHEL_6.0 in the name and it automounts correctly.
Thanks Gary, changing status to VERIFIED.
Hello there, I'm having a similar problem using RHEL 6 Beta 2 as a kvm virtual machine on a Fedora 13 host. When I connect the CDROM in the VM to the ISO DVD file Gnome (in the VM) does not mount the DVD. It just shows "Blank DVD Disc" icon preventing me from browsing the files. If I "mount /dev/cdrom /mnt" as root it works fine but it does not work automatically as it have always been in Gnome. As an example, a Fedora 13 guest works as expected when connecting and disconnecting the an ISO file from virt-manager. Is this related or should I file a new bug?
I would suggest a new bug.
Ok, I forgot to ask an important question in my last comment: what the package would be? hal? udev? nautilus? I'm not really sure where to file it. Thanks.
devicekit would be the best place to start
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 is now available and should resolve the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of CURRENTRELEASE. You may reopen this bug report if the solution does not work for you.
