Ok, I think I see the issue here. I'll try to build a test kernel shortly.
Should be fixed in the kernel at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1567190
Whoops - definitely not NOTABUG!
I'm using this kernel (2.6.31-0.112.rc4.git3.fc12) on F11 and have X flashing all the time. Am I doing something wrong, like missing half the Xorg updates from rawhide (I only updated the kernel for checking bug #514918, I didn't want to convert the while system to rawhide)? Thanks!
