Description Daniel Berrangé 2009-08-03 15:59:14 UTC
Description of problem:
Some storage pools such as filesystem based pools have non-trivial metadata that can become corrupted.

libvirt needs to have the ability to run a integrity verification process against storage pools. For filesystem based pools this would involve running a fsck command of some sort.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux major release. Product Management has requested further
review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux Major release. This request is not yet committed for
inclusion.

Comment 3 Daniel Veillard 2009-10-08 12:04:38 UTC
Again not done yet but this is on our target for 6.0, even if there is no
work done upstream at this point. This is relatively similar to 515290
Not garanteed to be finished and tested in time though, so conditionally
NACK'ing on Upstream at this point.

Daniel

This feature request did not get resolved in time for Feature Freeze
for the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release and has now been
denied. You may re-open your request by requesting your support
representative to propose it for the next release.

Comment 10 Dave Allan 2010-05-17 19:12:26 UTC
Moving to 6.1

Thank you for reporting this issue to the libvirt project. Unfortunately we have been unable to resolve this issue due to insufficient maintainer capacity and it will now be closed. This is not a reflection on the possible validity of the issue, merely the lack of resources to investigate and address it, for which we apologise. If you none the less feel the issue is still important, you may choose to report it again at the new project issue tracker https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt/-/issues The project also welcomes contribution from anyone who believes they can provide a solution.
