Sorry for these issues, but I can not maintain any of my packages including me-tv.

I prepare myself to release all of my packages to someone else, because I do not enough time to maintain. (I become translation leader under KDE for my country)

If someone here want to take my packages, please confirm here.

regards,

Zarko Pintar

Comment 2 Stefan Jensen 2009-09-02 21:12:16 UTC
It is sad to hear. :-( Because me-tv is such a great alternative to kaffeine, when using gnome desktop.

Hope that someone takes over soon. (I think i'm not experienced enough for that)

Anyway. I have a "dirty fix" found for me. I simply changed line 1328 in "me-tv.ui" from

<object class="GtkVBox" id="vbox2">

to

<object class="GtkVBox" id="vbox">

That fix it for me and seems to have no side-effects. Me-TV is now working again.

best regards

I will today put info about my leaving Fedora packaking on mailing lists...

Comment 4 Zarko (grof) 2009-09-09 12:11:02 UTC
Hello,

I'm getting good news! :)

I decide to continue maintaining my packages (including me-tv, too)

I just packaged the last stable release me-tv-1.0.0 for F-11 and rawhide. (F-10 do not want to build, so I let them).

Please take a look and report here.

regards,

Zarko

Comment 5 Zarko (grof) 2009-09-09 12:19:06 UTC
And one thing!

Please do not use packages from testing repository, bacause the issue can laying somewhere there, but not in me-tv itself.

I just try to launch me-tv 1.0.0 and it works normally.

Of course, I do not use testing repos!!!

So, I do not want to make changes and patches because something do not works with testing packages. It is not so smart ;)

regards,

Zarko

Fix startup problems for me-tv

Same problem for me for stable updates today. Looks like glib2 update breaks some things.

With this patch it's working for me. Can you apply it?
I am not sure, it it's fully fixed in this patch, but at least working for me.

Do you still need help with maintaining me-tv? I can help, but I have very small experience with C++, so I can only do small updates. Me-tv is a great application, but looks like there is no support from upstream (Michael Lamothe leaved this project and IMHO there is no current maintainer).

I have also an sk.po file (slovak translation) for me-tv. Can I attach it here or in an new bug to apply in Fedora package?

I can apply this patch, but I want to test it on some other machines. OK?

I will continue to maintain me-tv, and upstream author said that he will applying bugfixes, but will not add new features. So this patches and bugs, please report to upstream!

This .po file, please also report to upstream. I am only maintainer, but not developer :)

Me-TV makes problems on my PC, too

This is a message:

Duplicate object id 'hbox1' on line 1220 (previously on line 535)

I will apply this patch, and if works for me locally, I'll make new revision.

Who is upstream author now? Can I ask you to send this patch to upstream?

This translation was sent to Michael and also to Scott imediatelly after 1.0.0 release, but still no new release. :-(

I think that is still Michael. He said that will do bugfixes but do not new features. But if someone do some feature, than he will include this to application.

This patch was on upstream for some time. Look at link:

Then, try again.

I could not and would not applying this kind of staff to source because this translation maybe interesting for someone who do not using Fedora!

This must go to upstream. :)
