Description Joshua Rosen 2009-09-05 01:57:54 UTC
Description of problem: When a Gmail e-mail is deleted it reappears as a new e-mail the next time that Evolution syncs with the Google imap servers. This never happens with POP mail, it strictly a Gmail problem. I don't know if this is an imap problem or Gmail specific problem.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.26.3

How reproducible:100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Send a test message to your gmail account
2.Fetch gmail into Evolution
3.delete the message
4.Do a Send/Receive
Actual results:The message reappears

Expected results: When a message has been delete it should stay deleted

Thanks for the bug report. It's GMail problem. I was told that one should move his/her message to the deleted items folder first, then it can be properly deleted. I cannot find upstream bug report for this, though fixing bug [1] will give users a chance to define real Junk/Trash folders in IMAP, thus make this work properly.
