As of today's Rawhide, the openchrome driver continues to sometimes screw up the display when I log out and the server is restarted. When the server restarts after the logout, there are several fuzzy "irridescent" squares on the screen which move around when I move the mouse, and the mouse cursor itself is not visible. When I move the mouse to the edge of the screen, the whole screen goes crazy. These are two different bugs. Bug 504307 is about wedging the system entirely, requiring a hard reset. The current bug, i.e., bug 523413, is about the system not wedging but the server starting up in a busted state with the mouse cursor all messed up as described above.
Since this bugzilla report was filed, there have been several major updates in various components of the Xorg system, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their packages (at least F12Beta, but even better if the very latest versions). Please, if you experience this problem on the up-to-date system, let us now in the comment for this bug, or whether the upgraded system works for you.
