Description Phil 2009-09-17 02:05:17 UTC
Description of problem:
When loading ganyremote, it starts gThumb which automatically opens the first picture it can find on the Desktop and goes full screen.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
# rpm -qa |grep anyremote
anyremote-data-4.18.1-1.fc11.i586
ganyremote-5.10-1.fc11.noarch
anyremote-4.18.1-1.fc11.i586

How reproducible:
Very, on all 4 systems I run fedora on - both i686 and x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install ganyremote -y
2. Applications -> System Tools -> Ganyremote. gThumb should load.
3. Restore anyremote -> Setup pulldown menu -> Preferences
4. Enable or Disable any options from the "Show in list" section
5. Click Ok
It refreshes the list of available scripts and starts gThumb again...

Actual results:
detailed in the description and steps to reproduce.

Expected results:
gThumb not to load!

Additional info:
I can not find anyganywhere that gthumb is mentioned even when i change the configuration and untick "Applications", which is the category gThumb is in, it still starts.

This also happens when you tick the box in the anyremote configuration to start automatically with gnome.

Hi Phil

please tar all content of ~/.anyRemote and post it here.

Comment 2 anyremote 2009-09-17 15:03:32 UTC
In general:
ganyremote _NEVER_ run any app automatically unless user
is configured it so.

Please inspect:
Setup->DeviceBrowser and make dbl-click on a line with device name
Do You have checkbox "run when discoverd ..." set to on ?

Comment 3 Phil 2009-09-17 23:15:27 UTC
I get the same problem with or without it ticked. This happens immediately after a fresh install with no .anyremote folder.

OK. Thanks for attachment.

Several day ago i've posted anyremote v5.0 to the "tested" area (http://mirror.yandex.ru/fedora/linux//updates/testing/11/i386/)

It contains fixed version of configuration file for gThumb.

Please try it.
