Description of problem: Most recent KDE update seems to have broken Microblogger using twitter. All I am getting is the page icon. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing. I have tried with - and without - wallet. I assume that this shares coookie settings with konq. I have enabled all cookies. I can successfully create tweets - just not fetch them.
From what I can gather, it's more a problem on twitter's end. They're servers have been quite overwhelmed lately (ie, over the past few weeks), and the blogger plasmoid deals with that less than gracefully.
fwiw, (kinda offtopic) but that's why I personally have mostly switched to using identi.ca
Choqok works fine, Of course the widget has certain advantages. Can this be fixed?
Last I tried, choqok was failing for twitter too. ymmv. I'd encourage you to report upstream to bugs.kde.org, as this really isn't a fedora-specific issue. I'd venture it's already reported, I'll go looking for it.
interesting. 1, no upstream report. 2. I confirmed the bug 3. even better, my tweets are shown if I disable "show friends" option re-enabling "show friends" results in a blank applet.
OK, looks fixed already, see also: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207327 I think kde-4.3.2 release is imminent, may wait for that.
nevermind, patch was easy enough, try out this build (when it finishes): http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1720900 (After installing, I had to re-login for the dataengine to work properly).

Same problem after update. I made an upstream report.
You need to at least restart your session after installing the update. If it still doesn't work, then your problem is a new one.
