This bug apparently have been fixed on the upstream version 1.40, but as far as I can see the fedore 12 version of boost will be 1.39. There is a patch on the upstream bug report (witch I entered in the URL field, not sure if it belongs there). I will test the patch with the srpm version 1.39.0-6 that I am currently downloading and will come back and comment if it all went well.
I made a build of boost 1.39.0-7 that has the said patch, it has worked here on my F11.
