Description of problem: Ice -- one of the packages that I maintain -- depends on libmcpp. The Ice upstream developers have produced a patch for mcpp that fixes a problem they sometimes have; it's available at http://www.zeroc.com/forums/patches/4445-patch-1-mcpp-2-7-2-a.html If possible, could you apply this patch to mcpp in Fedora? It may also be worth sending the patch upstream if it's a general problem -- I don't know how responsive the upstream developers are. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mcpp-2.7.2-2.fc11
p.s. -- This patch has already been submitted to upstream mcpp (by the Ice developers) back in May: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mcpp/forums/forum/565342/topic/3274436
I'm sorry I have no time to maintain mcpp at present. Could you become a co-maintainer of mcpp package on Fedora, and commit the needed updates?
mcpp-2.7.2-3.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 11. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/mcpp-2.7.2-3.fc11
mcpp-2.7.2-4.fc12 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 12. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/mcpp-2.7.2-4.fc12
mcpp-2.7.2-3.fc11 has been pushed to the Fedora 11 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
