Peter, I guess this only happens on the Moblin live CD, right? You'd need to either fix network-manager-netbook to not require D-Bus (and NetworkManager) being already started, or make sure they are started before the desktop is up. The warnings posted above don't show which D-Bus error is being hit, but I gather the above is the right fix for the problem.
