Description of problem: Path to drivers is incorrect. Following is an example of the log output: dlopen: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules//driversnouveau_drv.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (EE) Failed to load /usr/lib64/xorg/modules//driversnouveau_drv.so (EE) Failed to load module "nouveau" (loader failed, 7) Strings on the binary confirm the misplaced "/" - double after modules, nothing after "drivers". Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.1-7.fc12.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% - local X server cannot be started as no devices can be found. Remote servers work just fine Additional info:
workaround is to add modulepath directive to xorg.conf - in case anyone is searching for a solution.
