There are plans on upgrading Fedora 12 to Audacious 2.2, which will change the input plugin API and require an update of XMP. XMP 2.7.1 in devel would rebuild on F-12 and work. But: XMP 3.0.1 is available and includes fixes for Audacious 2.2. Once Audacious 2.2 is ready for Fedora 12, it will become a test update (with a koji buildroot override tag) for some time, so 3rd party plugins can be prepared, too. A note will be added to this ticket.
