Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 56057
Compilation of postgresql_7.1.3 source
Last modified: 2007-04-18 12:38:13 EDT
Description of Problem: Error when I compiled "postgreSQL" source, at the "make" step.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): postgresql_7.1.3
Steps to Reproduce:
1. The compilation passed OK the "./configure" step
2. "Make" step failed with the following fatal error:
nbtsort.c: In function '_bt_load'
nbtsort.c:644:Internal error: Segmentation fault
3. Compillation finished with the message to report this bug
That would be a gcc, not a postgresql problem. Have you applied the latest errata?
The main question is whether this is reproduceable always on the same file
same options same error.
If yes, please post here full gcc command line, rerun with -save-temps
and attach here nbtsort.i it creates.
Also, the version of gcc and the ./configure commandline would be useful, as
7.1.3 ships with Red Hat Linux 7.2.
